Gambit is a professional pipeline distribution company, and this office warehouse building, as its unique display, covers an area of 1285m.
The three main functions of this building - warehouse, workshop for preparing orders, and office area - are all reflected in its form. A two-story sloping wall section is the office, a lower section is the workshop, and the higher rectangular prism is a warehouse without heating. The arrangement of pipelines determines the slope of the roof. The inclined layout of the pipeline creates the only possible inclination angle, which defines the shape of this part of the building. The office area with a sloping roof has been renovated on the second floor to remain within the height limit set by the local zoning plan, so no additional volume is required. The sloping roof office area on the second floor has been renovated to comply with local zoning height restrictions and avoid unnecessary volume creation.
The material inside is made of raw aluminum plate, which is not only cheaper but has also been validated in previous projects such as OUTrial House, Unikato, and Konieczny's Ark. This material will develop a luster over time, presenting a matte, primitive characteristic reminiscent of concrete. Importantly, this type of board is very durable, almost indestructible, and easy to maintain.
Traditional windows and skylights provide ample indoor light. In the first floor office space, employees have classic glass windows that allow them to see the small garden carved out of the parking lot. The upper storage area and auxiliary rooms need flexible space along the exterior wall, illuminated by skylights. The building has strict industrial functions and is mainly surrounded by parking lots for cars and trucks.
