This article introduces the classification of grilles. Grilles can be roughly divided into the following styles based on their appearance:

Linear/Orthogonal Grid Class

1.Vertical grille: equidistant vertical strips, emphasizing the sense of building height, with shading mainly on the east/west side; Suitable for office buildings and modern residences.

2.Horizontal grille: horizontal stripes, smooth and stable, suitable for south facing sun shading; Commonly used in commercial podiums and cultural venues.

3.Orthogonal grid (cross shaped): intersecting horizontally and vertically at equal intervals, regular and transparent, taking into account both shading and ventilation; Suitable for hotel and office building curtain walls.

Curve/Irregular Type

1.Arc/wave grille: single arc or continuous wave, softens the building outline, and the light and shadow change with the curvature; Used for art buildings such as theaters and art galleries.

2.Parameterized/Gradient Grid: Forming a flowing texture through density, angle, and height gradients, often combined with BIM/CNC machining; Suitable for landmark buildings and city exhibition halls.

3.Irregular/free-form grids: breaking geometric constraints or simulating natural textures (such as branches, weaving); Commonly seen in cultural landmarks and characteristic businesses.

Traditional and special functional categories

1. Chinese style wooden lattice (window frame): Traditional styles such as Bu Bu Jin and Bing Lie are mostly made of wood or imitation wood metal; Used for homestays, Chinese style courtyards, and antique commercial streets.

2.Loubet grille (adjustable): The blade angle can be manually/electrically controlled, taking into account shading, lighting, and visibility, with strong energy efficiency; Suitable for office buildings and green buildings

3.Translucent/luminous grille: Built in LED or using a translucent panel, forming a light strip or pattern at night to enhance the night view effect; Used for commercial complexes and landmark towers.
