Strolling around any city, it is not difficult to find some unsightly projects with deformed and bulging surfaces of aluminum-plastic panels. This phenomenon occurs in small storefront decoration projects, as well as in large high-rise buildings. Therefore, the construction process of aluminum-plastic panels is crucial, as it will affect the overall beauty of a city.

The construction process of aluminum-plastic panel is as follows
1、Construction conditions
(1)The floor structure has been completed and has a certain level of strength.
(2)The electrical, pipeline and other pipelines have been laid.
(3)The ground, ceiling, and elevation have been clearly defined.
2、Construction operation procedures
(1) Layout layout
1)Pop up the horizontal and centerline of the cylinder. According to the horizontal line and centerline, set out the horizontal line required by the design drawing of the plastic aluminum ceiling.
2)Calculate the block size of the plastic aluminum plate based on the actual size and draw the processing diagram.
(2)Aluminum sheet processing
1)Cutting: According to the dimensions of the processing drawing, arrange the plastic aluminum plate reasonably and use a gantry shear for cutting.
2)Milling, rolling, and bending: First, snap lines at the required parts of the plastic aluminum plate, and then use a milling machine to mill the thinnest part of the U-shaped groove bottom edge, which should be 0.2-0.4mm. For plates used for curved surfaces, bending processing is required. This process must be completed by a Tianzhu roller bending machine, which can be bent into curved plates of different radii as needed. Bend the plastic aluminum plate that has been milled and rolled, process it into the required plate according to the drawing, number it, and transport it to the installation site.

(3)Installation of steel and aluminum keel
When installing with aluminum keel, first fix the aluminum keel to the floor according to the size and position shown in the blueprint. It must be installed firmly, with a flat surface and accurate dimensions. For the parts installed with steel keel, anti-corrosion treatment or gaskets should be added to prevent electrochemical corrosion.
(4)Panel installation
1)The connection between plates is achieved by connecting a plastic aluminum plate with another plastic aluminum plate or other material through rivets, bolts, screws, nails, etc. However, because the surface of the plastic aluminum plate is made of aluminum, electrochemical corrosion occurs when connected to different metal materials. When the back of the board comes into contact with other materials, no surface treatment is required, but aluminum or stainless steel rivet bolts must be used to connect the board or board with other metal materials.
When in contact with other different materials (such as steel plates), a protective layer of at least 25u thickness should be laid between the contact surface of the plastic aluminum plate and the steel plate. Galvanized or insulating materials can be used, such as laying polyethylene insulation tape between steel plates and plastic aluminum plates.
2)Prefabricated panels are equipped with Z-shaped aluminum corner materials. One side of the corner material is bonded to the back of the prefabricated panel with high-strength structural adhesive, and the middle edge of the corner material is connected to the curved edge of the panel with rivets, preparing the prefabricated panels for installation on the wall.
3)Connect the pre made prefabricated board to the keel with screws, pay attention to adjusting the board to the same horizontal plane, and fix it with rivets and self tapping screws.
(5) Apply glue
Install cushioning material at the connection point. Apply sealant on top and finally remove the protective film from the board. Before gluing, it is necessary to clean the surface of the metal plate and aluminum alloy (steel) frame with a cleaning agent. The cleaned material must be sealed within one hour, otherwise it should be cleaned again. The sealant must be filled completely without any gaps or bubbles. The cleaning cloth should be replaced in a timely manner to maintain cleanliness. The instructions on the label should be followed when using solvents, and smoking is strictly prohibited when using solvents. When applying sealant, use adhesive paper to protect the materials on both sides of the joint from contamination.

3、Construction operation precautions
(1)Protective measures should be taken during the transportation of prefabricated plastic aluminum plates to prevent damage to the metal plates.
(2)Ensure that the connectors are firmly fixed and position them with a straight line during fixation, so that the connectors are installed flat without any deviation.
(3)Thoroughly clean the gaps between the boards (especially the bonding surface) and dry them; Fill the deep adhesive seam with polyurethane foam material (small round rod) to form a double-sided bond and ensure the width of the joint; After injection, carefully maintain until it is completely hardened to prevent cracking of the adhesive.
(4)When cutting and installing plastic aluminum plates, attention should be paid to the direction of the plastic aluminum plates to ensure consistency and avoid color differences under light.
(5)The variety, quality, color, pattern, and lines of the panel should meet the design requirements and should have a product qualification certificate. When steel keel is used as the skeleton, its specifications and shape should meet the design requirements, and rust removal and rust prevention treatment should be carried out.
6)For the installation of plastic aluminum panels, it is advisable to use aluminum rivets with core pulling, and rubber washers must be placed in the middle. The spacing between core pulling aluminum rivets should be controlled between 100-150mm.
(7)When installing metal finishes for special areas, the cutting size should be accurate, the edges and corners should be neat and smooth, and the overlap size and direction should be correct.
(8)It is strictly prohibited to use docking during the installation of the board. The lap length should meet the design requirements and there should be no through seams.
(9)During the installation of decorative panels, wiring construction should be carried out to ensure a smooth and vertical surface with clear and smooth lines.
(10)Pre fabricated corner decorative panels should be used for installation of yin and yang corners.

4、Quality standards
(1)The variety, specifications, and colors of the skeleton and plastic aluminum plate must comply with the design requirements and construction specifications.
(2)The installation of plastic aluminum plates must be firm and free from bending or tilting.
(3) The surface of the plastic aluminum plate should be flat, clean, and have a harmonious color, without discoloration, stains, or significant damage to its luster.
(4)The joints of plastic aluminum plates should be filled tightly, straight, evenly wide, and of consistent color.
(5)The allowable deviation should comply with the regulatory requirements.
5、Finished product protection
(1)After the installation of the plastic aluminum plate is completed, cover the easily contaminated areas with adhesive tape or cover them with plastic film for protection; Safety guardrails should be installed to protect areas that are easily scratched or bumped.
(2)The cleaning agent used in cleaning should have no corrosive effect on materials such as metal plates, adhesives, and aluminum alloy (steel) profiles.
(3)Prevent surface contamination from cement mortar and other materials.

Aluminum plastic panel base coating
Suggestions for material selection of aluminum-plastic panel base and coating
What is good for aluminum-plastic panel substrate? The ideal base skeleton should be made of rust resistant angle steel or square steel pipes, which have good moisture resistance and stability. If conditions permit, it is more ideal to use aluminum profile skeleton, which can minimize electrochemical corrosion and prolong the overall structural life.
In terms of coating selection, aluminum-plastic panels are divided into two types: indoor and outdoor, and their surface coating properties determine the applicable environment. Indoor panels are generally coated with resin, which is not resistant to outdoor ultraviolet radiation and climate aging; For outdoor panels, fluorocarbon coating with strong anti-aging and UV resistance shall be selected.
